  4. 4

What is this, in plain English?

A data service for a shop that already exists. We take your product list in whatever form it is in today and load it into your platform with categories, attributes, variants, images and descriptions in place.

This is not a build. The Product Catalog Website creates a catalogue site for a business that has none; this service fills a store you already own, whoever built it, with a catalogue structured well enough to search, filter and report on. It is priced in tiers by how many products you have and how clean the data is.

The problem it solves

You have a store and a spreadsheet of 1,400 rows with inconsistent names, missing sizes and a folder of photos nobody has renamed in years. Loading it by hand would take your team weeks and it would still be inconsistent at the end.

If that does not describe you, this is probably the wrong product. Tell us and we will point you at a better fit rather than sell you the nearest one.

What you get

The concrete things that exist at the end and that you own.

5 deliverables

  • Your products live in your own store platform, categorised and filterable
  • A written category and attribute structure document
  • Images matched, resized and attached to the correct product or variant
  • A gap report naming every product missing a price, image, attribute or description
  • A short written guide for adding further products in the same structure

What's included

The work covered by the figure in the buy box, at no extra cost.

  • Data review of the file you supply
  • Category tree and attribute design
  • Cleaning and normalisation to the agreed structure
  • Bulk import into your existing platform
  • Image processing and matching
  • Validation and a written gap report
  • A one-hour handover session by video call

Not seeing something you expected? Check what you are not buying before you order.

What does it do?

Everything listed here is delivered as part of this product. Nothing on this list is aspirational.

  • Tiered by product count: up to 100 included, up to 500 at the next tier, larger ranges quoted after we see the file
  • A category tree agreed in writing before any product is loaded
  • Attributes and filter values normalised to one consistent vocabulary
  • Variants built out along your own axes: size, colour, pack size, finish
  • Images renamed, resized and matched to the correct product or variant
  • Descriptions formatted from the text you supply into one consistent template
  • A validation pass reporting every product missing a price, image or attribute

How it works

The delivery sequence from order to handover.

  1. 1

    Review the data

We read your file and report what is usable, what is duplicated and what is missing, before quoting the tier.

  2. 2

    Agree the structure

Categories, attribute names and their permitted values are signed off in writing.

  3. 3

    Clean and load

Data is normalised to the agreed structure and imported into your platform in batches.

  4. 4

    Match the images

Images are matched to products and variants, resized for your theme and uploaded.

  5. 5

    Validate and hand over

A gap report lists everything still incomplete, and we walk your team through adding the next product themselves.

Delivery & fulfilment

Stream Edge Solutions ships nothing. Every package on this site is carried out and handed over remotely — this is exactly what happens after you order.

  2. 2We build and configure remotelySetup, configuration and testing are done by our team over a remote connection — on your systems or on ours, whichever the package specifies.
  3. 3We hand it overYou receive the working setup, the credentials, the documentation and a walkthrough. Everything built for you is yours at handover.

Carried out remotely by our team. Nothing is posted and no one visits. Typical turnaround: 5–10 business days from receipt of a complete data file and images.

Full detail of how work is handed over, what happens if requirements are outstanding and how order records are kept is in the Delivery & Fulfilment Policy.

What we need from you

Nothing starts until these are in place, and the turnaround above is measured from that point — not from the moment you pay.

  • A store that already exists, with administrator access for us
  • Your product data in one file: spreadsheet, CSV or an export from your current system
  • Your images, in a folder or a link, named or listed so each can be matched to a product
  • A named contact who can sign off the category and attribute structure

Who this is for

  • Retailers who bought a store platform and never populated it
  • Businesses moving a range off a spreadsheet or an old system
  • Shops whose categories and filters have stopped making sense
  • Suppliers putting a manufacturer price list online

Business needs this addresses: Sell online, Improve operations

What's not included

Just as plainly as the list above: the things this package is not.

  • Building the store itself — this service loads a platform you already have, so if you have no shop yet start with one of the store packages
  • Writing descriptions or specifications from scratch, and product photography: we format the text and images you supply
  • Sourcing product data from your suppliers, or scraping it from anywhere
  • Stock levels, delivery zones and tax rates, which are configured inside your platform as an add-on. Those rules govern your own operation: we never handle, store or ship goods ourselves
  • Platform subscription, hosting and any paid import plugin, all billed to you by those providers directly
  • Translating the catalogue into other languages

Anything outside the scope above is quoted separately, in writing, before it is carried out. Nothing is added to your bill without your agreement.

FAQs

How is the price worked out?

By product count and how clean the data is. The listed price covers up to 100 products from a single tidy file. Up to 500 is the next tier, and larger ranges are quoted once we have seen the file. The tier is confirmed in writing before loading starts, so the number does not move part way through.

What if my spreadsheet is a mess?

That is normal, and it is the first thing we check. The data review comes back with what is usable and what is not. If cleaning it is a bigger job than your tier covers, we give you the revised price before loading anything rather than absorbing it and running out of time.

Is this the same as the Product Catalog Website?

No. That package builds a catalogue website for a business that has none. This puts products into a store or catalogue you already own. Buying both only makes sense if you want the site built and then populated from a difficult data source.

Which platforms can you load into?

The common hosted and open-source store platforms, provided the platform permits a bulk import or offers an API. Some closed platforms restrict imports on their lower subscription plans, which is the vendor’s decision rather than ours. We confirm what yours allows before quoting.

Refund & cancellation

What happens if you change your mind, and what happens to money already paid.

Cooling-off before work starts
You have 7 days after ordering to cancel while work has not yet begun. Up to 25% may be retained to cover scoping and scheduling already carried out.
Work already done
Once delivery has started, refunds are assessed against the work completed and the deliverables already handed over — the list under “what you get” above is what that assessment is made against. Approved refunds are processed within 14 days.
If we cannot deliver what is described here
You are refunded. The scope on this page is the scope we are held to, which is exactly why the exclusions above are stated before you buy rather than after.

The full terms, item type by item type, are in the Refund & Cancellation Policy. How the work reaches you is covered by the Delivery & Fulfilment Policy.

Not sure this is the right product?

We would rather point you at the right thing than sell you the nearest one. Ask us before you buy — no obligation.
