The four questions this page answers

  1. 1

    What you buy

We take one existing business process and insert a single AI step into it, at the point where a person is currently doing something repetitive with text, and leave every other part of the process alone.

  2. 2

    What you get

6 deliverables, listed in full below

    • A live AI step inside your existing process
    • Before-and-after process maps
    • A parallel-run comparison report
    + 3 more
  3. 3

    How it is delivered

    Remote Setup

Carried out remotely by our team. Nothing is posted and no one visits.

    REMOTE SERVICE

  4. 4

    How long it takes

4–5 weeks, including the two-week parallel run

Measured from the point everything under “what we need from you” is with us, not from the moment you pay.

A pipeline where a model drafts, a person approves, and only then does it publish. Illustrative interface concept — not a screenshot of a client deployment.

What is this, in plain English?

We take one existing business process and insert a single AI step into it, at the point where a person is currently doing something repetitive with text, and leave every other part of the process alone.

Deliberately the narrowest product in this category. Rather than rebuilding a workflow, we identify the one place where reading, sorting, summarising or drafting is eating time, and automate only that. It pairs with the conventional automation products, which move data between systems; this handles the step in the middle that needed judgement about words.

The problem it solves

A process already works, but one step in it has a person reading, classifying or rewriting the same kind of text dozens of times a week, and that step is where the whole thing queues up.

If that does not describe you, this is probably the wrong product. Tell us and we will point you at a better fit rather than sell you the nearest one.

What you get

The concrete things that exist at the end and that you own.

What does it do?

Everything listed here is delivered as part of this product. Nothing on this list is aspirational.

  • One AI step designed, built and inserted into one existing process
  • A written before-and-after process map showing exactly what changed
  • Human checkpoint retained at the point of consequence, with the AI output shown as a proposal
  • Fallback path so the process still runs manually if the AI step is unavailable
  • Logging of every AI step run, with input, output and who approved it
  • Two weeks running in parallel with the manual step before cutover

How it works

The delivery sequence from order to handover.

  1. 1

    Map the process

We walk the process as it happens today and identify where the time actually goes, which is not always where you expect.

  2. 2

    Pick one step

We agree the single step to automate and, just as importantly, the steps we are leaving alone.

  3. 3

    Build with the checkpoint

The step is built to produce a proposal for a person to accept, edit or reject, with a fallback if it fails.

  4. 4

    Run in parallel

For two weeks both the manual step and the AI step run, and we compare the outputs.

  5. 5

    Cut over and document

We switch the process across, document it and hand over the run log for your own review.

Delivery & fulfilment

Stream Edge Solutions ships nothing. Every package on this site is carried out and handed over remotely — this is exactly what happens after you order.

REMOTE SERVICEHow this is delivered
  1. 1We confirm requirementsWe read what you sent with the order, come back in writing with anything missing, and agree the scope before any chargeable work starts.
  2. 2We build and configure remotelySetup, configuration and testing are done by our team over a remote connection — on your systems or on ours, whichever the package specifies.
  3. 3We hand it overYou receive the working setup, the credentials, the documentation and a walkthrough. Everything built for you is yours at handover.

Carried out remotely by our team. Nothing is posted and no one visits. Typical turnaround: 4–5 weeks, including the two-week parallel run.

Full detail of how work is handed over, what happens if requirements are outstanding and how order records are kept is in the Delivery & Fulfilment Policy.

What we need from you

Nothing starts until these are in place, and the turnaround above is measured from that point — not from the moment you pay.

  • A process that is already documented, or a person who can walk us through it
  • Access to the systems the step sits between
  • A named approver for the checkpoint
  • Agreement on what happens when the AI step is unavailable
  • An AI provider account in your business name

Who this is for

  • Businesses with a documented process and one obvious bottleneck
  • Operations managers who already know which step is slow
  • Teams that have automated the easy parts and stalled on the judgement step
  • Companies wanting a contained first AI project inside existing work

Business needs this addresses: Automate work, Improve operations

What's not included

Just as plainly as the list above: the things this package is not.

  • AI model and API usage for each run of the step, billed to your own provider account
  • Any promise that the step produces correct output — the approval checkpoint is mandatory and we do not build unattended AI steps
  • Automating a second step or a second process, each quoted separately
  • Rebuilding, replacing or fixing the rest of the process around the step
  • Subscription fees for the systems the process runs in
  • Provider outages or model changes that require the step to be rebuilt later

Anything outside the scope above is quoted separately, in writing, before it is carried out. Nothing is added to your bill without your agreement.

FAQs

Why only one step?

Because contained projects are the ones that work. A single step can be measured against the manual version, reversed if it disappoints, and understood by the people doing the job. Businesses that try to AI-enable a whole workflow at once usually cannot tell which part failed when the numbers do not improve.

What if the AI provider is down?

The process falls back to the manual step and carries on, which is why we insist on defining that path before building. AI providers have outages, deprecate models and change behaviour between versions, and a process with no fallback stops dead when they do. The fallback is documented and briefed to your team, not just written into the code.

Who sees the data going through the step?

Only the fields the step needs are sent to your chosen AI provider, and we list them explicitly in the process map so there are no surprises. The deployment is configured against the provider terms you hold, with no-training options enabled where offered. You remain the data controller for everything flowing through the process.

How much does running it cost?

The provider bills your own account per run of the step, and the process map tells us how many runs a month to expect, so we give you an estimated range before building. Whether it is worth it is a comparison against the staff time the step currently takes, and we put both figures in front of you. Provider pricing is outside our control and can change at any time.

Refund & cancellation

What happens if you change your mind, and what happens to money already paid.

Cooling-off before work starts
You have 7 days after ordering to cancel while work has not yet begun. Up to 25% may be retained to cover scoping and scheduling already carried out.
Work already done
Once delivery has started, refunds are assessed against the work completed and the deliverables already handed over — the list under “what you get” above is what that assessment is made against. Approved refunds are processed within 14 days.
If we cannot deliver what is described here
You are refunded. The scope on this page is the scope we are held to, which is exactly why the exclusions above are stated before you buy rather than after.

The full terms, item type by item type, are in the Refund & Cancellation Policy. How the work reaches you is covered by the Delivery & Fulfilment Policy.
