REMOTE SERVICE

How long it takes
1–2 weeks, with the cutover in a window agreed with you
Measured from the point everything under “what we need from you” is with us, not from the moment you pay.
Mail authentication: every message checked at SPF, DKIM and DMARC before delivery. Illustrative interface concept — not a screenshot of a client deployment.
What is this, in plain English?
A one-off remote service that gets your business running on mail at its own domain instead of free personal addresses. We provision the mailboxes on a subscription you hold, publish the mail routing records, copy your existing mail across and set up every device that needs to receive it.
Moving a business onto its own mail domain is mostly about not losing anything: old messages, calendars, contacts, and the addresses people already write to. We run it as a migration with a cutover agreed in advance, and the previous provider stays live until you are satisfied. It stops at getting mail working correctly. The deeper anti-forgery work of a full sender inventory, DMARC monitoring and enforcement is Email Security Setup, and the two are often bought together in that order.
The problem it solves
Your business still runs on free personal addresses, quotes go out from an account that looks like a private individual, and the enquiries address is really one person’s inbox that nobody else can see.
If that does not describe you, this is probably the wrong product. Tell us and we will point you at a better fit rather than sell you the nearest one.
What you get
The concrete things that exist at the end and that you own.

How it works
The delivery sequence from order to handover.
1
Inventory the mail
What exists today, how much of it there is, and which addresses must keep working after the move.
2
Provision the mailboxes
Accounts, aliases and shared mailboxes created on your own subscription, before anything changes for users.
3
Copy the mail across
Messages, calendars and contacts copied while the old provider is still live and still receiving.
4
Cut over
Routing records changed in a quiet window agreed with you, with the old provider kept in place.
5
Set up the devices
Each person’s computer and phone configured, with a final sync so nothing is left behind.
Delivery & fulfilment
Stream Edge Solutions ships nothing. Every package on this site is carried out and handed over remotely — this is exactly what happens after you order.
REMOTE SERVICEHow this is delivered
1We confirm requirementsWe read what you sent with the order, come back in writing with anything missing, and agree the scope before any chargeable work starts.
2We build and configure remotelySetup, configuration and testing are done by our team over a remote connection — on your systems or on ours, whichever the package specifies.
3We hand it overYou receive the working setup, the credentials, the documentation and a walkthrough. Everything built for you is yours at handover.
Carried out remotely by our team. Nothing is posted and no one visits. Typical turnaround: 1–2 weeks, with the cutover in a window agreed with you.
Delivery method
Remote Setup
Expected delivery time
1–2 weeks, with the cutover in a window agreed with you
Measured from the point everything under “what we need from you” is with us — not from the moment you pay.
Full detail of how work is handed over, what happens if requirements are outstanding and how order records are kept is in the Delivery & Fulfilment Policy.
What we need from you
Nothing starts until these are in place, and the turnaround above is measured from that point — not from the moment you pay.
A domain you control, with access to its DNS records
A mail subscription in your own business name, or authority for us to advise which plan suits you
Administrator credentials for your current mail provider, so existing mail can be copied
A list of every address that must keep working after the move
A cutover window agreed with you, and people reachable for device setup
Who this is for
Businesses still using free personal addresses for work
Companies moving from one mail provider to another
Anyone who has just registered a domain and needs mail on it
Businesses whose shared enquiries address is one person’s inbox
Just as plainly as the list above: the things this package is not.
Mail platform subscription and per-mailbox licence fees, which you buy from the vendor in your own business name and pay them directly
Domain registration and renewal fees, which you pay your registrar directly
The full anti-forgery work of a sender inventory, DMARC monitoring and enforcement, which is Email Security Setup
Inbound filtering tuning, anti-phishing training and mailbox rules beyond basic forwarding
Recovery of mail already deleted at your current provider before the migration started
Any partner, reseller or certified status with a mail provider, which we do not hold and do not claim
Anything outside the scope above is quoted separately, in writing, before it is carried out. Nothing is added to your bill without your agreement.
FAQs
Will we lose mail during the move?
The old provider stays live and receiving until the cutover, and the copy runs while it is still up, so there is a way back at every stage. Messages sent in the few minutes around the routing change are the only genuine risk, which is why the window is chosen with you. We cannot recover anything already deleted at the old provider before we started.
Is this the same as Email Security Setup?
No, and they answer different questions. This gets your mail working on your own domain: mailboxes, routing, migration and devices, including the SPF and DKIM entries your chosen provider requires. Email Security Setup goes further, inventorying every system that sends in your name and then monitoring and enforcing a DMARC policy so other people cannot forge your address.
Who pays for the mailboxes?
You do, directly to the mail provider, on a subscription in your own business name. That keeps the account, the data and the billing relationship yours, so you are never locked to us. We do not resell mailboxes and take no margin on your licences.
What access do you keep afterwards?
We work under an administrator account you create for us, and we tell you in writing what it can do. You keep the top-level owner account throughout, and every mailbox stays your property. Our administrator account is removed on your instruction or at the end of the engagement, whichever comes first.
Refund & cancellation
What happens if you change your mind, and what happens to money already paid.
Cooling-off before work starts
You have 7 days after ordering to cancel while work has not yet begun. Up to 25% may be retained to cover scoping and scheduling already carried out.
Work already done
Once delivery has started, refunds are assessed against the work completed and the deliverables already handed over — the list under “what you get” above is what that assessment is made against. Approved refunds are processed within 14 days.
If we cannot deliver what is described here
You are refunded. The scope on this page is the scope we are held to, which is exactly why the exclusions above are stated before you buy rather than after.
