The four questions this page answers

  1. 1

    What you buy

An annual subscription, delivered remotely: we watch the expiry dates on your domains and TLS certificates, make DNS record changes when you ask for them, and carry out renewals on your instruction inside your own registrar account. The domains stay registered in your business name and the registrar and certificate fees are always paid by you.

  2. 2

    What you get

5 deliverables, listed in full below

    • A written inventory of every domain, certificate and DNS entry, kept current
    • Expiry warnings at 90, 30 and 7 days to your nominated contact
    • Up to twelve record changes a year, made and confirmed in writing
    + 2 more
  3. 3

    How it is delivered

    Managed Subscription

An ongoing remote service that runs each period until you cancel it in writing.

  4. 4

    How long it takes

Inventory completed within 5 working days of access, then ongoing for a twelve-month term

Measured from the point everything under “what we need from you” is with us, not from the moment you pay.

Uptime and performance monitoring with alerting. Illustrative interface concept — not a screenshot of a client deployment.

What is this, in plain English?

An annual subscription, delivered remotely: we watch the expiry dates on your domains and TLS certificates, make DNS record changes when you ask for them, and carry out renewals on your instruction inside your own registrar account. The domains stay registered in your business name and the registrar and certificate fees are always paid by you.

Domains and certificates fail in the same way every time: quietly, on a date nobody had in the diary, usually while the person who registered them is on leave. This plan puts that date on somebody’s list, keeps a written record of every entry so changes are not guesswork, and carries out the renewal in your own account when you tell us to. We act on your instruction inside accounts you own. We never take ownership of a domain and never register one in our name.

The problem it solves

Nobody knows when your domain expires, the certificate renewed itself last year but might not this year, and the records that point your website and mail somewhere exist in a state no one has written down.

If that does not describe you, this is probably the wrong product. Tell us and we will point you at a better fit rather than sell you the nearest one.

What you get

The concrete things that exist at the end and that you own.

What does it do?

Everything listed here is delivered as part of this product. Nothing on this list is aspirational.

  • Up to five domains and ten TLS certificates watched for expiry
  • Warnings at 90, 30 and 7 days to a contact you name
  • Up to twelve DNS record changes a year, made on your written instruction
  • Renewals carried out on your instruction inside your own registrar account
  • A written record inventory, kept current after every change
  • A yearly check of registrar locks and contact details
  • A written annual review of every domain and certificate held

How it works

The delivery sequence from order to handover.

  1. 1

    Inventory

Every domain, certificate and DNS entry is listed, along with which registrar holds what and who the registered owner is.

  2. 2

    Set the watch

Expiry dates are tracked and warnings scheduled at 90, 30 and 7 days to the contact you name.

  3. 3

    Change on instruction

You email a change request; we make it, confirm it back to you in writing, and update the inventory.

  4. 4

    Handle renewals

We tell you what is due and what it costs, and renew inside your own account once you instruct us. The payment is yours, made on your own card or account with the registrar.

  5. 5

    Review annually

A written review of everything held, including anything you are paying for and no longer use.

Full detail of how work is handed over, what happens if requirements are outstanding and how order records are kept is in the Delivery & Fulfilment Policy.

What we need from you

Nothing starts until these are in place, and the turnaround above is measured from that point — not from the moment you pay.

  • Delegated access to your registrar and DNS accounts, granted from an account you own
  • A named contact authorised to instruct changes and approve renewals
  • A list of the domains and certificates to be covered
  • Your own payment method held at the registrar for renewals

Who this is for

  • Businesses whose domain was registered by someone who has since left
  • Companies holding several domains across more than one registrar
  • Organisations that have had a certificate expire in public
  • Businesses without in-house IT who still need records changed occasionally
  • Anyone who cannot produce a written list of their own DNS entries

What's not included

Just as plainly as the list above: the things this package is not.

  • Domain registration, renewal and transfer fees, and TLS certificate fees, which you pay your registrar and certificate provider directly
  • Ownership or control of your domains, which stay registered in your business name in a registrar account you hold; we act only on your written instruction
  • Renewing anything without your instruction — if you do not respond to the warnings, the domain or certificate lapses
  • Recovering a domain that has already expired into a redemption or auction period, which is registrar-dependent and charged by them
  • Hosting, mail platform and website work, which other plans cover
  • Record changes beyond twelve a year, which are quoted before we make them

Anything outside the scope above is quoted separately, in writing, before it is carried out. Nothing is added to your bill without your agreement.

FAQs

Do you own or hold our domain?

No, and we will not. The domain stays registered in your business name in a registrar account you hold, and we work under delegated access that you grant and can withdraw at any time. If you leave this plan, nothing has to be transferred back to you, because nothing was ever held by us.

Who pays the renewal fees?

You do, directly to your registrar or certificate provider, on your own payment method. We tell you what is falling due and what it costs, and we carry out the renewal in your account once you instruct us. We do not resell domains or certificates and take no margin on renewal fees.

What if we do not reply to an expiry warning?

Then the domain or certificate lapses. We will not renew on your behalf without instruction, because that would mean spending your money without authority. The warnings go out at 90, 30 and 7 days precisely so this does not happen quietly. Recovering a lapsed domain afterwards is sometimes possible at whatever the registrar charges, and sometimes not possible at all.

Can I cancel, and what happens to the domains?

Yes, cancel in writing at any time. Your domains and certificates are unaffected because they were always yours; we hand over the current inventory and you withdraw our delegated access. Our Refund & Cancellation Policy covers how the unused remainder of an annual term is treated.

Refund & cancellation

How this plan is cancelled, and what happens to money already paid.

Cooling-off before work starts
You have 7 days after ordering to cancel while work has not yet begun. Up to 25% may be retained to cover scoping and scheduling already carried out.
Cancelling this plan
It continues, period after period, until you cancel in writing. Cancel before the renewal date to stop the next period. The service runs to the end of the period you have already paid for.
Work already done
Once delivery has started, refunds are assessed against the work completed and the deliverables already handed over — the list under “what you get” above is what that assessment is made against. Approved refunds are processed within 14 days.
If we cannot deliver what is described here
You are refunded. The scope on this page is the scope we are held to, which is exactly why the exclusions above are stated before you buy rather than after.

The full terms, item type by item type, are in the Refund & Cancellation Policy — see subscriptions. How the work reaches you is covered by the Delivery & Fulfilment Policy.

Not sure this is the right product?

We would rather point you at the right thing than sell you the nearest one. Ask us before you buy — no obligation.
