What is this, in plain English?

A monthly subscription for a store that is live and selling. Each month we apply platform and plugin updates, run test orders through the checkout, verify that the backups restore, work a small allowance of catalogue changes and send you a health report. It renews monthly until you cancel.

A shop breaks differently from a brochure site: a plugin update can quietly break the payment step, and nobody finds out until the day sales stop. This plan adds the store-specific checks the Website Care Plan does not carry, on top of the same updates, backups and reporting.

The problem it solves

Your store is live, its updates are months overdue, and the way you would learn that checkout is broken is a customer emailing to say the pay button does nothing.

If that does not describe you, this is probably the wrong product. Tell us and we will point you at a better fit rather than sell you the nearest one.

What you get

The concrete things that exist at the end and that you own.

What does it do?

Everything listed here is delivered as part of this product. Nothing on this list is aspirational.

  • Monthly platform, theme and plugin updates, applied to a staging copy first
  • A weekly automated test order through the live checkout, alerting if it fails
  • Payment integration verified after every update, including the provider callback
  • Daily backups, with one restore actually tested and recorded each month
  • Uptime and checkout-page monitoring, alerting a contact you nominate
  • Up to 3 hours of catalogue changes per month: prices, products, images, promotions
  • A monthly health report covering updates, incidents, failed test orders and hours used

How it works

The delivery sequence from order to handover.

  1. 1

    Onboard

We inventory the store, its plugins, its payment integration and the real state of its backups.

  2. 2

    Baseline

Outstanding updates applied, monitoring installed, a restore tested and one order run end to end.

  3. 3

    Maintain each month

Updates applied to a staging copy, checked there, then released to the live store.

  4. 4

    Watch the checkout

Automated test orders run weekly and raise an alert if the path from cart to confirmation fails.

  5. 5

    Work your changes

Catalogue requests handled within the monthly allowance, oldest first.

  6. 6

    Report

A written monthly health report, including anything we chose not to update and why.

Delivery & fulfilment

Stream Edge Solutions ships nothing. Every package on this site is carried out and handed over remotely — this is exactly what happens after you order.

  1. 1We confirm what is coveredWe agree exactly which systems the plan covers and the access we need to look after them.
  2. 2We set the plan up remotelyMonitoring, alerting, backups and the maintenance schedule are configured by our team. This part is a one-off remote setup.
  3. 3It runs, and we reportThe work is carried out through each billing period and reported to you. The plan continues, period after period, until you cancel it.

Full detail of how work is handed over, what happens if requirements are outstanding and how order records are kept is in the Delivery & Fulfilment Policy.

What we need from you

Nothing starts until these are in place, and the turnaround above is measured from that point — not from the moment you pay.

  • Administrative access to the store and its hosting, plus read-only access to the payment provider dashboard
  • A store in a maintainable state at onboarding. We assess this first and quote any remedial work separately before the plan starts
  • A named contact for change requests and alerts
  • Permission to run test orders, with a refund or void route for them agreed with your provider

Who this is for

  • Businesses running a live store with no in-house technical staff
  • Retailers whose platform and plugins have not been touched since launch
  • Shops that change prices, products and promotions most months
  • Anyone who would not notice a broken checkout until the orders stopped

What's not included

Just as plainly as the list above: the things this package is not.

  • The merchant account and everything about it. You hold it with your own licensed payment provider, in your own business name. We monitor and configure the integration only. Approval, fees, settlement, refunds, chargebacks and disputes are between you and that provider, and no customer money passes through Stream Edge Solutions
  • New features, redesign or a move to a different platform, which are quoted as projects
  • Order fulfilment: we maintain the software that records your orders, while your business picks, packs and delivers them. We never handle, store or ship goods
  • Platform subscription, hosting, theme and plugin licence fees, paid by you to those providers
  • Unused hours, which do not roll over into the next month
  • Out-of-hours, weekend and public-holiday cover, which this plan does not include

Anything outside the scope above is quoted separately, in writing, before it is carried out. Nothing is added to your bill without your agreement.

FAQs

How is this different from the Website Care Plan?

The Website Care Plan covers updates, backups, uptime and two hours of content changes on a site. This adds what only a shop has: weekly test orders through the live checkout, verification of the payment integration after every update, staging before release because a broken shop loses money while it is down, and three hours aimed at catalogue work. If you sell online, the cheaper plan leaves your checkout unwatched.

Do you handle our payments or refunds?

No. Your merchant account is held with your own licensed payment provider, in your own business name. We configure and monitor the integration. Approval, fees, settlement, refunds and chargebacks are matters between you and that provider. Stream Edge Solutions is not a payment intermediary or an acquirer, and no customer money reaches us.

Can I cancel, and what do I keep?

Yes. It is a rolling monthly plan, cancellable in writing on 30 days’ notice with no minimum term, and cancelling stops future billing periods. You keep the store, and we hand over backups, credentials, monitoring configuration and documentation so another provider can take over. Our Refund & Cancellation Policy sets out how a part-used period is treated.

What if an update breaks the store?

That is why updates go to a staging copy first and why a restore is verified monthly. If something still breaks in production, rolling it back is covered by the plan. What is not covered is repairing damage caused by someone else editing the live store directly, which is quoted as separate work.

Refund & cancellation

How this plan is cancelled, and what happens to money already paid.

Cooling-off before work starts
You have 7 days after ordering to cancel while work has not yet begun. Up to 25% may be retained to cover scoping and scheduling already carried out.
Cancelling this plan
It continues, period after period, until you cancel in writing. A monthly plan needs 30 days' notice. The service runs to the end of the period you have already paid for.
Work already done
Once delivery has started, refunds are assessed against the work completed and the deliverables already handed over — the list under “what you get” above is what that assessment is made against. Approved refunds are processed within 14 days.
If we cannot deliver what is described here
You are refunded. The scope on this page is the scope we are held to, which is exactly why the exclusions above are stated before you buy rather than after.

The full terms, item type by item type, are in the Refund & Cancellation Policy — see subscriptions. How the work reaches you is covered by the Delivery & Fulfilment Policy.
