What is this, in plain English?

Custom software at a scale where a shop price would be meaningless — multiple departments, several integrations, migration from existing systems, and requirements that only emerge properly once someone has looked. There is no checkout price here: you request a quote, we run a paid scoping assessment, and the build is quoted from it. All discovery, delivery and training is carried out remotely.

This is the one thing in the catalogue we will not put a checkout price on. A system spanning several departments has a cost driven by facts we do not yet know: how many workflows, how clean the existing data is, which of your current systems expose an API, and how many people need training. We start with a scoped assessment, and only then quote — with a figure we can defend line by line.

FAQs

Why will you not put a price on this?

Because we would be wrong. A fixed number for work of this size is either padded to cover the unknowns or set low and recovered through change requests. Neither serves you. The assessment produces a real number.

What does the assessment cost?

It depends on how many departments and systems are involved. We agree that figure in writing before starting, and it is deducted from the build cost if you commission the work with us.

Can we take the specification elsewhere?

Yes. You paid for it, so you own it. We would rather be chosen against a competing quote than be your only option.

Refund & cancellation

What happens if you change your mind, and what happens to money already paid.

Nothing is charged for the quote
Requesting a quote costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Refund and cancellation terms are agreed in writing as part of the proposal, before any money changes hands.
Work already done
Once delivery has started, refunds are assessed against the work completed and the deliverables already handed over — the list under “what you get” above is what that assessment is made against. Approved refunds are processed within 14 days.
If we cannot deliver what is described here
You are refunded. The scope on this page is the scope we are held to, which is exactly why the exclusions above are stated before you buy rather than after.
