What is this, in plain English?

A monthly subscription, delivered remotely, covering changes to the words and pictures on your existing website: text edits, image swaps, new pages, posts, price lists and opening hours, up to 4 hours a month and started within two business days of your request. It renews monthly until you cancel.

This plan is deliberately content only. It does not patch your platform, take backups or watch your uptime; that is the Website Care Plan, and many customers hold both. It exists so the person who knows what needs saying is not also the person who has to work out how to publish it, with requests queued against a written turnaround and a monthly list of every change made.

The problem it solves

Your prices changed three months ago and the website still shows the old ones, because the only person who can edit it is busy and nobody else wants to be the one who breaks the page.

If that does not describe you, this is probably the wrong product. Tell us and we will point you at a better fit rather than sell you the nearest one.

What you get

The concrete things that exist at the end and that you own.

What does it do?

Everything listed here is delivered as part of this product. Nothing on this list is aspirational.

  • Up to 4 hours of content work each month
  • Text, image, price list and opening-hours changes on existing pages
  • New pages built from page templates your site already has
  • News or blog posts published from copy and images you supply
  • Work started within two business days of a request, during working hours
  • Image resizing, cropping and compression for the web
  • A monthly written list of every change made and the hours used

How it works

The delivery sequence from order to handover.

  1. 1

    Onboard

We take editing access and note which parts of the site are safe to change and which need development.

  2. 2

    Send requests

You email what needs changing, with the words and pictures. Anything ambiguous we query before publishing rather than guessing.

  3. 3

    We publish

Work starts within two business days, on a staging copy first where your site has one.

  4. 4

    You confirm

Each batch goes to you to check. Correcting our own mistakes does not come out of your allowance.

  5. 5

    Monthly report

A written list of what changed and how much of the allowance was used.

Measured from the point everything under “what we need from you” is with us — not from the moment you pay.

Full detail of how work is handed over, what happens if requirements are outstanding and how order records are kept is in the Delivery & Fulfilment Policy.

What we need from you

Nothing starts until these are in place, and the turnaround above is measured from that point — not from the moment you pay.

  • Editing access to your website and its content platform, provided at onboarding
  • A site whose content can be edited without development work, which we assess before the plan starts
  • A named contact who sends the requests and approves what is published
  • The words and images for each request, in a usable form

Who this is for

  • Businesses whose site goes stale between developer projects
  • Owners who know what needs changing but not how to change it
  • Companies publishing news, offers or posts on a regular rhythm
  • Teams whose only trained editor has left
  • Businesses already on a maintenance plan who keep exceeding its change allowance

What's not included

Just as plainly as the list above: the things this package is not.

  • Platform updates, security patching, backups and uptime monitoring, which are the Website Care Plan
  • Design changes, new page templates, layout work or anything needing development
  • Writing the copy or supplying the photography — you send us the words and images
  • Unused hours, which do not roll over into the next month
  • Hosting, domain and content platform subscription fees, which you pay to those providers directly
  • Out-of-hours, weekend or same-day publishing; requests are started within two business days during working hours

Anything outside the scope above is quoted separately, in writing, before it is carried out. Nothing is added to your bill without your agreement.

FAQs

Why does this cost more than the Website Care Plan?

Because it buys double the change allowance and a committed start time. The Care Plan is technical upkeep with a small change allowance attached; this is content work with a queue and a turnaround. Businesses that publish regularly usually hold both, and we will tell you honestly if one of them alone covers what you need.

What counts as content rather than development?

Words, images, prices, opening hours, posts, and new pages built from a template your site already has. Anything that changes the design, adds a new template or needs code is development and is quoted separately. Grey areas get discussed openly, and we do not use the line to avoid work.

What if a request is bigger than my remaining hours?

We tell you before starting it, with an estimate, so you can decide whether to wait for next month or pay for the extra time. We do not quietly consume the allowance and present the shortfall afterwards.

Can I cancel, and what do I keep?

Yes — a rolling monthly plan, cancellable in writing on 30 days’ notice, with no minimum term. Everything published stays on your site and remains yours, and we hand back the editing credentials we held. Our Refund & Cancellation Policy sets out how a part-used period is treated.

Refund & cancellation

How this plan is cancelled, and what happens to money already paid.

Cooling-off before work starts
You have 7 days after ordering to cancel while work has not yet begun. Up to 25% may be retained to cover scoping and scheduling already carried out.
Cancelling this plan
It continues, period after period, until you cancel in writing. A monthly plan needs 30 days' notice. The service runs to the end of the period you have already paid for.
Work already done
Once delivery has started, refunds are assessed against the work completed and the deliverables already handed over — the list under “what you get” above is what that assessment is made against. Approved refunds are processed within 14 days.
If we cannot deliver what is described here
You are refunded. The scope on this page is the scope we are held to, which is exactly why the exclusions above are stated before you buy rather than after.

The full terms, item type by item type, are in the Refund & Cancellation Policy — see subscriptions. How the work reaches you is covered by the Delivery & Fulfilment Policy.
