The four questions this page answers

    What you buy

A monthly subscription, delivered remotely — the higher tier of support, for systems where an outage stops the business. Each month you get a 2-hour response target on critical issues, cover from 7am to 9pm on working days, 20 hours of development, a named engineer who knows your setup and a quarterly technical review. It renews monthly until you cancel.

What is this, in plain English?

A monthly subscription, delivered remotely — the higher tier of support, for systems where an outage stops the business. Each month you get a 2-hour response target on critical issues, cover from 7am to 9pm on working days, 20 hours of development, a named engineer who knows your setup and a quarterly technical review. It renews monthly until you cancel.

This exists for businesses where "we will look at it tomorrow" is not an acceptable answer. It provides a two-hour response target for critical issues during extended hours, a larger monthly allowance, quarterly technical reviews, and a documented escalation path. We are direct about the limits: this is extended-hours cover, not a 24/7 staffed operations centre, and we will not sell it as one.

The problem it solves

When your core system goes down, everything stops, and standard next-day support is not good enough.

If that does not describe you, this is probably the wrong product. Tell us and we will point you at a better fit rather than sell you the nearest one.

Full detail of how work is handed over, what happens if requirements are outstanding and how order records are kept is in the Delivery & Fulfilment Policy.

What we need from you

Nothing starts until these are in place, and the turnaround above is measured from that point — not from the moment you pay.

  • A system we support, or one that passes an onboarding assessment before the plan starts
  • Severity definitions agreed in writing at onboarding
  • A contact reachable during incidents within the cover hours
  • Access to code, environments, deployment and monitoring

Who this is for

  • Businesses whose operations depend on one system
  • Companies with customer-facing systems
  • Organisations with contractual uptime obligations to their own clients
  • Teams that have had a costly outage already

Business needs this addresses: Improve operations, Improve IT infrastructure

What's not included

Just as plainly as the list above: the things this package is not.

  • 24/7 or overnight cover, which we do not currently staff and will not pretend to
  • Guaranteed uptime, which depends on infrastructure we may not control
  • Financial penalties for missed targets unless separately contracted
  • Third-party outages beyond our control, though we manage the response
  • Hosting, cloud and third-party service fees, which you pay to the providers directly
  • Unused development hours, which do not carry forward to the next month
  • Major new modules, which are quoted as separate projects

Anything outside the scope above is quoted separately, in writing, before it is carried out. Nothing is added to your bill without your agreement.

Response times are targets for beginning work, not resolution guarantees — no honest supplier can promise a fix time for an unknown fault.

FAQs

Is this 24/7?

No. It is extended hours, 7am to 9pm on working days. We would rather tell you that plainly than sell round-the-clock cover we cannot staff. If you need genuine 24/7, we will tell you honestly whether we can arrange it.

What does "response target" actually mean?

It means a person is working on it within that window, not that it is resolved. Resolution time depends on the fault, and quoting a resolution guarantee for unknown faults would be meaningless.

Can I cancel, and what do I keep?

Yes — a rolling monthly plan, cancellable in writing on 30 days’ notice, with no minimum term. You keep the system, its code and the runbook we maintained; on cancellation we hand over credentials, configuration, monitoring setup and documentation. Our Refund & Cancellation Policy covers how a part-used period is treated.

Refund & cancellation

How this plan is cancelled, and what happens to money already paid.

Cooling-off before work starts
You have 7 days after ordering to cancel while work has not yet begun. Up to 25% may be retained to cover scoping and scheduling already carried out.
Cancelling this plan
It continues, period after period, until you cancel in writing. A monthly plan needs 30 days' notice. The service runs to the end of the period you have already paid for.
Work already done
Once delivery has started, refunds are assessed against the work completed and the deliverables already handed over — the list under “what you get” above is what that assessment is made against. Approved refunds are processed within 14 days.
If we cannot deliver what is described here
You are refunded. The scope on this page is the scope we are held to, which is exactly why the exclusions above are stated before you buy rather than after.

The full terms, item type by item type, are in the Refund & Cancellation Policy — see subscriptions. How the work reaches you is covered by the Delivery & Fulfilment Policy.
